The Vagalume Eletroluminescente (Firefly Electroluminescent), 2010, is an installation that simulates artificial fireflies. The biological light of fireflies is represented using LEDs. Each LED represents a single insect. The LEDs are connected to a central processing - a microprocessor. This through programming is responsible for reproducing the natural firing pattern of fireflies. Onomatopoeic sounds, composed from musical experiments are reproduced in the installation space in order to simulate the natural by artificial.
